Position: Maintenance Electrician

Salary: Up to £40,000

About the Role:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be integral to the facilities management team, providing essential electrical maintenance services across a network of educational institutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting planned and preventative electrical maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all systems.
  • Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns, ensuring all tasks are executed under the appropriate Safe System of Work.
  • Engaging in fault finding and problem-solving on various electrical systems.
  • Carrying out electrical installation tasks in accordance with provided designs and IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Testing and inspecting electrical installations in compliance with current IEE wiring regulations.
  • Monitoring and managing critical spare parts for all electrical services.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are upheld throughout the contract.

Qualifications:
We invite candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant technical qualifications such as City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, or NVQ level 3 or higher.
  • BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations certification, specifically the 18th Edition.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Ability to work at heights safely.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
