Position Overview:As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our facilities. Your expertise will be applied in various educational establishments, focusing on maintaining and enhancing electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct planned and preventative electrical maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
2. Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, adhering to established Safe Systems of Work.
3. Engage in fault finding and problem-solving on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
4. Execute electrical installation tasks in compliance with provided designs and IET Wiring Regulations.
5. Perform testing and inspection of electrical installations, ensuring adherence to current IEE wiring regulations.
6. Monitor and manage critical spare parts for all electrical services.
7. Uphold health and safety standards across all contract operations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Relevant technical qualifications such as City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, or NVQ level 3 or higher.
- Familiarity with BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, particularly the 18th Edition.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and testing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Capability to work at heights and independently.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
