Position: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Scotland Border Schools

Salary: Up to £40,000

Company Overview:
Fusion People Ltd specializes in delivering comprehensive facilities and estate management services across various educational institutions. This role involves working within a PFI framework, specifically catering to a network of schools situated in the Borders region.

Working Hours:
The standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week. On-call duties are part of the role, with overtime opportunities available, regulated by company policy.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct planned and preventative electrical maintenance.
2. Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, ensuring all tasks are executed under the appropriate Safe System of Work.
3. Engage in fault finding and problem-solving on various electrical systems.
4. Perform electrical installation tasks in accordance with provided designs and IET Wiring Regulations.
5. Test and inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with current IEE wiring regulations.
6. Monitor and manage critical spare parts for all electrical services.
7. Uphold health and safety standards across all operations.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or higher)
- BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations certification, specifically the 18th Edition.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, distribution, installation, and testing.
- In-depth knowledge of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Capability to work at heights and independently.
