Job Summary

Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team in Duns, The Scottish Borders. As a key member of our onshore wind team, you will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of wind turbines, mechanical, electrical, gearbox, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on wind turbines as per DWT instructions
  • Complete all relevant paperwork, including work order cards, checklists, and AWPs
  • Replace major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Assist in all areas of site operations
  • Provide safe access and egress to all people in the work party
  • Comply with customer site rules
  • Report all incidents and occurrences as per Deutsche Windtechnik company Health and Safety policy
  • Partake in the rota for on-call cover on weekends and bank holidays
Requirements
  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, such as wind farms, power stations, or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments
  • Valid driving license
