Involve Recruitment is currently seeking a Site Supervisor for a prominent civil engineering contractor engaged in a significant road construction project.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of workforce, machinery, and subcontractors within their designated area of operations. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the management and quality standards of the project align with both client and company performance benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate and advocate for best practices in safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
  • Oversee Subcontractors: Manage and supervise subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Conduct Inspections: Ensure all required inspections, including weekly safety and environmental assessments, are performed diligently.
  • Workforce Development: Assist in the growth of the workforce by identifying training needs and opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality in all work to meet or exceed specification requirements.

It is essential to be well-versed in relevant project documentation, standards, and contractual obligations concerning environmental performance, and to seek guidance from the Environmental Department as necessary.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with employers and other stakeholders to fulfill statutory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale road construction projects.
  • Possession of relevant CSCS and SMSTS certifications.
  • Adaptability to changing deadlines and project demands.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving capabilities.
