Job Summary:

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Facilities to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our College campuses.

About the Role:

This leadership position will be instrumental in shaping a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both staff and students, while ensuring our estates and facilities support high-quality learning and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working and learning environment.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage contractors effectively.
  • A proactive approach to facilities management, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners.
