We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team at Page Personnel Finance. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department in a reputable company based in the Manufacturing industry.

About the Company

Our client is a leading player in the Manufacturing industry with a Global presence, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the production of management accounts and year-end reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with VAT returns and analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Monitor outstanding debtors and creditors, taking proactive steps to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with processing accruals and prepayments, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Process employee expenses, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Oversee the processing of purchase invoices, ensuring any discrepancies are investigated and dealt with appropriately.
  • Assist with the implementation of the new ERP system, providing input on process improvements.

Requirements

  • AAT Level 4 qualification, with actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA Qualification being beneficial.
  • Proven ability to solve problems and think critically.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong IT skills including Microsoft packages.
