Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Intertape Polymer Group (IPG). As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for performing all required UK accounting activities in line with company standards, policies, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for month-end accounting, including posting journals, P&L, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Manage bank, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial controls
  • Manage the external audit process and statutory account completion
  • Responsible for VAT submissions
  • Monthly SOX reporting
  • Coordinate and work with the corporate finance team to ensure local systems are set up correctly
  • Management of the consolidation of system uploads
  • Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required
  • Prepare budgets and provide continual analysis of forecast versus operational results
  • Ensure conformance that all accounting procedures are compliant with IFRS and Company policy
  • Works with Plant, Division, and Corporate team members to provide periodic financial and operating reports, KPI dashboards, etc.
  • Prepare and analyze all cost, product (bill of material standards) and plant economic analyses, as well as other statistical reports.
  • Monitor and review fixed asset expenditures and issue status reports.
  • Interface with IPG Shared services for Corporate and Manufacturing Accounting, Payroll, AP, AR, Credit, Treasury, and Tax.
  • Liaise with Corporate Treasury on insurance requirements, banking transactions, and financial reporting as required.
  • Reconcile tax accounts (income tax receivable, payable, VAT, etc.).
  • Assist with any other UK, or other country, related governmental compliance requirements (master file, local file, country by country, etc.).
  • Any other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • ACCA (Or equivalent) qualified desirable, part qualified essential
  • Previous experience of P&L ownership, balance sheet, and month-end activities
  • Manufacturing experience desirable
  • Background of audit or management accounting
  • Ability to use own initiative and with a proactive mindset
  • Proficient with ERP applications, experience with MS Dynamics would be advantageous
  • Experience of IFRS Standards and SOX Reporting
  • Knowledge in Accounting-related best practices in areas such as Period Close. Purchasing, Payables, and Payroll
  • Strong IT systems / Microsoft Office / database skills working with multidimensional reporting tools to retrieve and analyze data
