Position Summary:

The Marketing and Communications Executive will take charge of crafting and implementing a thorough annual Marketing and Communications Strategy that effectively showcases all facets of ILP's operations. This role is pivotal in boosting engagement and awareness regarding our membership services, events, publications, and training programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for marketing and communications, exceptional project management capabilities, and the talent to produce engaging content that resonates with our diverse audiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement marketing initiatives across multiple platforms, including digital, social media, email, and print.
  • Develop and curate captivating content for newsletters, press releases, websites, social media, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and members to ensure cohesive messaging and branding throughout all communications.
  • Evaluate and assess the success of marketing initiatives, providing regular updates and insights for ongoing enhancement.
  • Organize and manage promotional activities for events, including advertising, sponsorship opportunities, and media collaborations.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials for membership, events, publications, and training programs.
  • Engage with members and stakeholders to identify their needs and improve member communication and satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years in a comparable marketing and communications position.
  • Strong grasp of digital marketing strategies and tools, including social media, SEO, email marketing, and analytics.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a knack for crafting engaging content.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media management tools).
  • Ability to work autonomously and juggle multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Innovative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience in event marketing and promotion is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the lighting sector is a plus.
