We are currently in search of a motivated and innovative Marketing and Communications Specialist.

Role Overview:

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will take charge of crafting and implementing a detailed annual Marketing and Communications Strategy that effectively showcases all facets of ILP's initiatives. This role encompasses enhancing engagement and awareness regarding our membership services, events, publications, and training programs. The successful candidate will possess a fervor for marketing and communications, exceptional project management capabilities, and the skill to produce captivating content that resonates with our target demographics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement marketing initiatives across diverse channels, including digital platforms, social media, email, and print media.
  • Develop and curate compelling content for newsletters, press announcements, websites, social media, and other communication mediums.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure uniform messaging and branding throughout all communications.
  • Evaluate and assess the success of marketing initiatives, providing ongoing reports and insights for continuous enhancement.
  • Organize and manage promotional activities for events, including advertising, sponsorship opportunities, and media collaborations.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials for membership, events, publications, and training programs.
  • Engage with members and stakeholders to comprehend their needs and improve member communication and satisfaction.
  • Remain informed about industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years in a comparable marketing and communications position.
  • Robust understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools, including social media, SEO, email marketing, and analytics.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a talent for creating engaging content.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media management tools).
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience in event marketing and promotion is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the lighting sector is a plus.
