Postural Stability Support Worker

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postural Stability Support Worker to join our team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a Postural Stability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of postural stability strength and balance exercise programs across the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Postural Stability Instructor (PSI) in carrying out exercise programs, correcting participants' technique, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Set up and clear away rooms for exercise sessions, and welcome and sign in participants.
  • Monitor participants' safety and well-being during exercise sessions, and provide basic life support when necessary.
  • Update attendance and session records on the IT system, and make telephone calls to participants regarding the program.
  • Travel efficiently around the Bay to carry out duties, and have a full driving license and vehicle.
Requirements
  • Level 2 NVQ in fitness or health and social care.
  • Experience of working with older adults and within groups.
  • Experience of communication with adults around motivation and adherence.
  • Basic Life Support qualification (desirable).
