The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Technician to become part of our regional engineering team, providing maintenance assistance across various sites in the vicinity. You will join a skilled group of engineers servicing Ready-mix & Asphalt facilities, as well as two Quarries within the Central Belt region.

With guidance from seasoned engineers, you will enhance your current skills and evolve into a specialist within our industrial setting. Expect a diverse range of environments, projects, and challenges, as you will initially spend your first six months paired with another engineer to deepen your understanding of this field.

This position operates Monday to Friday during daytime hours, where you will respond to breakdowns and perform scheduled maintenance throughout the Central Belt region. Our operational base is situated near Shotts, and you should be able to commute to this location.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial context, with a desire to enhance their skills in welding and fabrication to complement their existing fitting expertise.

Safety is integral to our culture; therefore, familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements is highly desirable.

As this is a multi-site role, a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
