Principal Biostatistician

Luminary Group is seeking a skilled Principal Biostatistician to contribute to the advancement of healthcare and evidence-based medicine. As a Biostatistician, you will play a crucial role in providing statistical support and expertise for research studies and clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Methodology Development: Design and implement statistical methodologies for research studies and clinical trials, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and validity of statistical analyses and results.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis using appropriate statistical techniques and software, collaborating with researchers and clinicians to develop study protocols and statistical analysis plans.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Provide statistical input in the interpretation and communication of study findings, contributing to the development and review of research proposals, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in biostatistical methods and techniques, ensuring the integration of statistical analyses within the research process.
  • Software Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of statistical software tools and databases, adhering to regulatory guidelines and industry standards in relation to biostatistics.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's or PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a biostatistician in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python, strong knowledge of statistical methodologies and techniques, including linear regression, survival analysis, and Bayesian methods.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to effectively communicate statistical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
