About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Building Officer to join our team at Carrington Blake Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and support of our residents living in Council Housing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Initial Support and Guidance: Provide tailored support to new social housing tenants, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to navigate their new home and access available services.
  2. Casework Management: Manage complex casework, specializing in people-related issues, including safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, and more.
  3. Building Relationships: Foster shared understanding and goals with residents, empowering them to effect change and build resilience.
  4. Referrals and Networking: Make onward referrals to support the growth of residents' support networks and enable building of resilience.
  5. Empowering Residents: Provide high-quality support to empower residents to plan, work towards, and achieve their outcomes.
  6. Teamwork and Collaboration: Work effectively individually and as part of a team to achieve service outcomes and contribute to the development and smooth running of the service.
  7. Flexibility and Adaptability: Work flexibly to deliver a tenure-blind, wholesome people and place offer for residents, ensuring the needs of the wider community are met.
