Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join our Fostering Team in Maidenhead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a reduced caseload of supervising foster carers and/or assessments, supervising approximately three full-time social workers, and representing the fostering service in meetings across the agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a reduced caseload of supervising foster carers and/or assessments
  • Supervise approximately three full-time social workers
  • Represent the fostering service in meetings across the agency
  • Support peer supervision and foster carer support groups

About You

We are looking for an experienced social worker with a degree-level qualification and active Social Work England registration. You will have previous experience of supervising social workers in the context of children's social care/fostering, in-depth knowledge of the Children Acts and Fostering Regulations, and experience in fostering teams, supervising foster carers, conducting assessments, and completing annual reviews and safeguarding.
