Job Title: Field Engineer/Jointer

We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer/Jointer to join our team at Freedom Group. As a Field Engineer/Jointer, you will be responsible for undertaking power cable jointing works on various cable types, including paper/lead, Alpex, and polymeric/polylam/triplex cables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation of power cable joints and terminations on underground LV to 33kV cables or substation cable systems, switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment.
  • Excavation works, cable pulling, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, and small wiring.
  • Site supervision in accordance with CDM regulations, including control of customer-appointed contractors and/or company-appointed subcontract labor.
Requirements:
  • Suitable trade-tested certification in power cable jointing and terminations from a recognized training school and/or relevant experience.
  • Basic operational knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Craft skills experience using hand tools.
  • Emergency 1st Aid and Manual Handling.
  • Full Driving Licence.
