Job Title: Field Engineer

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen, UK. As a Field Engineer, you will provide on-site engineering and office support for Managed Pressure Drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for MPD operations, including rig site engineering and office support.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of drilling programs, procedures, and reports.
  • Monitor drilling data and performance, making recommendations to ensure safe and successful operations.
  • Interface with operations, customer representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of MPD jobs.
  • Perform analysis of well data and monitor wells in real-time using the MicrofluxTM Control System.
  • Support the development and implementation of operating procedures and optimize P&ID's.
  • Participate in safety talks and ensure compliance with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Well Site Supervisor or higher-level Engineer.
Requirements:
  • Previous MPD experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong learning agility and ability to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Exceptional computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Flexible and able to support and interface with members of staff at all levels.
