About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SEO Account Manager to join our dynamic marketing agency, SYZYGY London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of SEO strategies, working closely with senior account managers and business managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior team members to ideate, implement, and report on SEO strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives.
  • Support client contact, including attending meetings and providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Present work to clients with varying levels of SEO knowledge and experience, effectively communicating complex concepts and recommendations.
  • Provide structured feedback to junior team members to support their growth and development.
  • Assist in client-side activation, working within content management systems to implement and adjust SEO recommendations for optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular audits, including competitive analyses, content gap assessments, and search behavior analyses, to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate technical SEO issues effectively to clients at all levels, ensuring seamless collaboration and resolution.
  • Minimum 3 years of SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Previous experience in team management and leadership.
  • Clear passion for SEO and digital marketing, with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Proficient in using a range of SEO tools, including Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, analytics platforms, and Ahrefs/SEMrush.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, with experience working with popular content management systems such as WordPress or Contentful.
  • Solid technical SEO foundations, with a broad understanding of crawl and index controls, hreflang, page speed, and crawl error detection and fixes.
  • Advanced understanding of on-page SEO, with the ability to provide thorough recommendations on optimizing new and existing pages.
  • Contribute to SEO thought leadership, both internally and externally, to drive innovation and growth within the agency.
