Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Janitor/Handyperson to join our team at Broadacres Housing Association. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and security of our buildings and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the premises and its contents
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks, ensuring emergency exits are clear and alarms are functioning properly
  • Monitor and maintain systems and functions, including heating, water temperatures, and lighting
  • Remove waste and recyclables from designated areas and ensure bin areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Undertake porterage tasks, including setting up and clearing away furniture
  • Unpack and store stock, maintaining accurate inventories
Requirements
  • Previous experience in janitorial or a similar field
  • Good IT skills for recording, training, and communication purposes
  • A competitive salary and benefits package, including a defined benefit pension scheme
