Facilities Maintenance Technician

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician with Hays Construction and Property, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities within HMPPS prisons. Your primary responsibility will be to perform general and semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including conducting monthly checks and tests on fire extinguisher equipment, regular inspections of fire hydrants and fire hoses, and quarterly RCD testing to maintain electrical safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, and fire hoses to ensure they are in good working condition.
Perform quarterly RCD testing to maintain electrical safety standards.
Inspect and maintain Misting Units to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Conduct fire door inspections to guarantee they meet safety regulations.
Perform general and semi-skilled maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
Requirements:
Experience in Fire Door & Fire Extinguisher Maintenance, Fire Alarm Core Points, and Emergency Lighting.
Hands-on knowledge of RCD (Residual Current Device) Maintenance.
Good IT skills.
