Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students in the absence of a teacher, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the absence of a teacher, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Manage classroom behavior, using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good behavior
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, adapting to the needs of individual students
  • Assist students with their work, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Report back on student progress and any issues to teaching staff

Requirements:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, which may require standing for long periods of time. The candidate must be able to handle challenging behavior from students and work collaboratively with teaching staff.
