Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in our client schools in Stockton-on-Tees.
Job Summary:As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the school's operations by overseeing courses while teaching staff is temporarily absent. You will oversee classroom behavior, keep things in a healthy learning atmosphere, and assist students with their assignments.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise classrooms when the regular teacher is not present.
- Convey pre-arranged example plans and resources given by teaching staff.
- Create a positive learning environment and ensure that students adhere to their assignments.
- Offer students assistance and support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school authority.
- Help with various tasks as required, including test invigilation and administrative tasks.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- The ability to keep lessons fun and adapted to all children's learning needs.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
- An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the updated service (or be willing to apply for one).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
