We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Nursing Team at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist care and support to individuals with Multiple Sclerosis, their families, and carers.
- Deliver clinics across multiple locations in North Northamptonshire and conduct home visits to ensure comprehensive care.
- Collaborate with various healthcare services and settings to provide seamless care to patients.
- Develop and maintain knowledge about Multiple Sclerosis, its symptoms, and treatment options to educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Work in partnership with the MSSN team to enhance care delivery and inform new practice.
- Contribute to teaching and education, providing specialist advice and guidance to staff as needed.
Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is an integrated primary care and mental health trust, providing physical, mental health, and specialty services in both hospital settings and the community. We prioritize delivering care that is accessible and easy to use, often providing services at home, work, or in prisons and detention centers.
Requirements- BSc Adult Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- NMC Registered Adult Nurse.
- Full UK current and valid driving license, with access to a car and ability to work flexibly across the county.
- Completion of the MS Development Module (MS Trust).
- Substantial post-registration nursing experience, minimum 2+ years.
- Community nursing experience.
- Understanding of MS, symptoms, and treatments available.
- Autonomous clinician with independence of thought.
- Experience working with people with long-term neurological conditions and/or MS.
- IT literacy and ability to proficiently navigate Systmone.
