Domus Recruitment is collaborating with a client seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a residential facility dedicated to supporting adults with learning disabilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective operation of an 8-bedded service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall accountability for the efficient management of the unit and achieve registration with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Oversee daily operations and maintain communication with the Locality Manager.
  • Ensure that every new resident receives essential documentation, including the statement of purpose and service user guide, and that their representatives comprehend these materials.
  • Address and investigate any complaints, reporting findings to the Locality Manager and implementing necessary actions.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team during inspections conducted by external authorities.
  • Strive to maintain a service rating of 'Good' or higher.
  • Conduct company health and safety audits, ensuring timely resolution of any identified issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a managerial capacity, ideally within the learning disabilities sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of at least 10 staff members, including handling performance-related matters.
  • Experience in liaising with external organizations, such as local councils and regulatory bodies.
  • Possession of a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care is preferred; candidates with a Level 3 who are willing to pursue Level 5 within the first year will also be considered.
  • A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are required.
