Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Design Engineer to join our team at Leonardo UK Ltd. As a key member of our Systems Engineering department, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of complex systems, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and develop strategies to optimize system performance.
  • Develop and maintain system models, using techniques such as Systems Modelling and Analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Digital signal processing.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques to draw insights from large data sets, and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Work on real engineering problems, designing and developing solutions that sit at the heart of our products.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Systems Engineering, with a strong background in systems design and development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply AI/ML techniques to complex problems.
  • Experience with system modelling and analysis tools, such as Systems Modelling and Analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Digital signal processing.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML techniques and their application to complex problems.
