The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Facilities to lead the maintenance and management of all buildings and facilities services at RSA House in central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our historic building, which comprises 8 floors, including Grade I and II listed spaces, office floors, public spaces, and a cinema.

The Head of Facilities will be responsible for:

  • Directing and planning the successful implementation of all maintenance works for RSA House, including structural aspects, electrical works, and fixtures and fittings.
  • Leading the facilities team to ensure a secure 24/7 facilities service is available for RSA House.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, buildings, equality, sustainability, environmental, and other relevant legislation.
  • Efficiently managing the sizeable facilities budget, including operational and capital expenditure.
  • Maintaining a focus on sustainability to ensure all facilities work is undertaken with the RSA's regenerative mission in mind.

The ideal candidate will have extensive facilities management experience, including managing others to deliver a comprehensive buildings service. They will also have experience in developing and managing sizeable facilities budgets, negotiating with external suppliers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
