About Design JD

We are a dynamic branding and wayfinding consultancy seeking a talented designer to join our South London Studio.

As a Graphic Designer at Design JD, you will be an integral part of our close-knit, creative team. You'll have the unique opportunity to lead on a diverse range of projects, from wayfinding audits and strategies to branding, information graphics, and promotional materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Collaboration: Meet with clients to understand their business objectives and project requirements, translating these into impactful design solutions.
  • Creative Leadership: Lead the creative process, from developing initial design concepts to final execution, ensuring all work aligns with client needs and our brand standards.
  • Innovative Design: Think outside the box to produce fresh ideas and interactive designs, pushing the boundaries of traditional wayfinding and graphic design.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from brief to print, coordinating with external contractors, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Site Engagement: Travel to various locations across the UK to conduct surveys, write wayfinding audits and strategies, and oversee the implementation of your designs.
Requirements
  • Design Expertise: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) on a Mac, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in branding, information design, and signage.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to approach design challenges with creativity and innovation, delivering solutions that are both functional and visually stunning.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members. You're a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
