Our client is a prominent distributor of ingredients catering to the European Cosmetic and Toiletry sectors. They operate an application laboratory in the UK dedicated to enhancing the understanding of raw materials and innovating Cosmetic formulations. Due to the growing demand for their services, they are looking for a Formulation Scientist to become part of their R&D team. Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new formulations to showcase product benefits.
  • Explore new materials to evaluate their effectiveness for personal care applications.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to create marketing materials, presentations, and updates for digital platforms.
  • Prepare and present technical and trend-based information to clients and at industry events.
  • Research emerging trends to guide the development of new formulations and presentations.
  • Support sales teams with formulation insights, presentations, and technical knowledge.
  • Join sales teams on client visits.
  • Participate in international technical exhibitions and training sessions with suppliers.
Your Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • A solid scientific foundation, including a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, biology, cosmetic science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in formulating cosmetic products, with a preference for skincare and SPF formulations.
  • Familiarity with creating technical marketing materials is a plus.
