Job Title: Materials Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Materials Procurement Specialist to join our Commercial team in St Albans. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the cost-effective and timely procurement of materials for our award-winning developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure drawings, take off quantities, prepare schedules, estimates, and other working documents.
  • Provide material costs for the preparation of construction budgets.
  • Source suitable suppliers and issue tender enquiry documents.
  • Negotiate proposed order values and new Regional Supply agreements.

Requirements:

  • Background in construction, with previous experience as a Materials Procurement Specialist, preferably in residential development.
  • Experience in measuring drawings, preparing bills of quantities, and using advanced procurement techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand architect drawings, specification documents, and standard detail drawings.
  • Commercially astute negotiator, self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and prioritize workload.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
