About the role

We're seeking an experienced Materials Procurement Specialist to join our Commercial team in St Albans, working closely with our Construction and Finance departments to oversee the purchasing of materials for our developments in the Eastern region.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Measuring drawings, taking off quantities, and preparing schedules, estimates, and other working documents.
  • Providing material costs for the preparation of construction budgets.
  • Sourcing suitable suppliers and issuing tender enquiry documents.
  • Negotiating proposed order values and new Regional Supply agreements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need a background in Construction, with previous experience as a Materials Buyer, preferably in residential development.

You'll also need to be able to read and understand architect drawings, specification documents, and standard detail drawings.
