As a Senior Interior Design Architect at AGC, you will engage closely with our creative team to develop exceptional design documents that align with the expectations of our prestigious residential and commercial clients. You will work under the guidance of the Design Director, who will oversee your contributions and support your professional growth.

In this role, you will collaborate with various brands and departments within the organization, and your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a keen eye for detail and strong organizational capabilities in the creation and coordination of comprehensive Interior Design Packages and specification documents.
  • Compile and organize tender submissions, including detailed schedules of work.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills in interactions with clients and team members.
  • Regularly produce and distribute project timelines and status updates.
  • Create high-quality presentations using InDesign, Photoshop, and other relevant software.
  • Work effectively from both written and verbal briefs.
  • Assist in the completion of architectural and interior design packages as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed drawings and tender documents as required.
  • Communicate with contractors and other professionals as necessary.
  • Participate in site meetings with contractors and specialists.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress as directed by senior management.
  • Adhere to company policies and standards, ensuring compliance with Best in Class practices.
  • Maintain quality control and consistency for both internal design teams and external project partners throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare, update, and cross-reference relevant documentation as needed.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills pertinent to your role.
  • Organize and participate in regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the team's objectives.

Additional Duties:

  • Attend weekly brand strategy meetings.
  • Monitor competitor activities and assess emerging design trends.
  • Ensure the sample library is well-organized and maintained.
  • Keep all AGC design documents current and properly filed.
  • Support the Design Team in daily operations.
  • Facilitate various training workshops and development initiatives within the team.
  • Encourage team contributions to collective design responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree or diploma is required.
  • At least three years of experience in a professional design environment.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn, contributing to the delivery of exceptional service on high-end projects.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a structured manner.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficient technical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with RIBA stages and team dynamics.
  • Understanding of UK planning regulations is advantageous.
  • 3D design skills are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
