About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Avara Foods. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Working Hours:
40 hours per week, 05:30 to 18:00
About the Job:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all quality checks are carried out to the correct standard and any non-conformances are reported immediately to the relevant Section and Quality Manager.
- Product Quality QAS – Inspecting product against customer quality contract agreements
- GMP Audits – Conducting audits against a scheduled frequency to ensure good manufacturing practice at site
- Bone checks
- Carbon Dioxide Verification / Pressure Test Verification
- Product sampling against micro schedule / Hand and Glove swabbing against micro schedule
- Temperature checks and verification
- Test Panel start and end of life
- Paperwork checks (traceability) – Ensuring all paperwork is completed in full, in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Carry out verification checks of calibration of measuring equipment in accordance with the schedule.
- Participate in HACCP teams where applicable
- Maintain filing of record documents and archiving
- To be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety Procedures, encouraging safe working behaviours
- Traceability – Supporting the QA Process Leader in conducting Traceability in accordance with the scheduled frequency and as required

- Ability to work to a daily routine but respond to any ad hoc requests from the Quality Manager
- Ability to work independently or as a valued member of a team
- Communicate effectively to others with regards to Food Quality & Food Safety Issues
