Quality Assurance Technician

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturer to fill a Quality Assurance Technician role based in Oxfordshire.

Key Highlights:

  • Salary: circa £34,000

  • Working pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts)

About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Technician will support the Quality Manager in conducting quality inspections of finished products, identifying quality or food safety issues, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for flagging products with issues, recording actions, and participating in hygiene verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product inspections, trial samples, and end-of-life products
  • Participate in mock recall and traceability exercises as required
  • Coordinate customer complaints and contact relevant parties
  • Generate quality reports and share with required parties
  • Highlight quality or food safety issues to management
  • Log actions from internal and external audits and file as required

Candidate Requirements:

The business seeks an individual with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within food manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, forward thinker, and problem solver.

  • Experience working in a similar role within food manufacturing
  • HACCP Level 3 or Food Safety Level 3 (desirable but not essential)
  • Food or Science degree (desirable but not essential)
