Band 7 Ward Manager/Charge Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Ward Manager/Charge Nurse to join our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team at Nottingham City Hospital. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading and developing a team of nurses and non-nursing staff, and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Provide 24-hour leadership and management of staff and budgets, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining standards of care.
- Patient-Centred Care: Ensure that patients and users are involved in their care, providing visible evidence that their feedback is used to maintain standards or implement improvements.
- Clinical Governance: Work clinically as a member of the team, administering treatments, and ensuring effective use of non-clinical time to support the implementation of clinical and non-clinical governance.
- Team Development: Develop and support the skills and knowledge of nursing and non-nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure that all aspects of patient care are delivered in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, and that high standards of quality and safety are maintained.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with a valid 1st level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and will have a strong track record of leadership and management experience in a similar role.
