Band 7 Ward Manager/Charge Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Ward Manager/Charge Nurse to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing staff.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide 24-hour leadership and management to nursing and non-nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety.
- Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and maintain standards through Nursing Metrics Dashboard, Essence of Care Benchmarks, and Trust Infection Control Audits.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with patients, carers, and staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust standards.
- Valid 1st level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working and leadership/management experience.
- Excellent analytical and judgement skills, with ability to deal effectively with clinical issues.
- Strong communication and relationship skills, with ability to convey sensitive information and negotiate/influence effectively.
- Ability to prioritise workload and respond to urgent/emergency situations.
