Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a team of theorists and experimentalists to model and analyze trapped-ion quantum computing systems, assessing their performance and proposing enhancements.
- Effectively communicate groundbreaking findings through publications and presentations to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain best scientific practices within the theoretical physics team.
- PhD in a relevant field completed prior to employment.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantum computing theory, including PhD work.
- PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with a focus on atomic physics and/or quantum benchmarking.
- Familiarity with trapped-ion quantum computing technologies.
- Hands-on experience with quantum computing hardware.
- Collaboration experience with experimental physicists.
- A strong theoretical physics background with a history of addressing complex challenges.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a record of published research.
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities, with proficiency in stakeholder engagement.
