Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Paediatric Specialist Grade Doctor to join our Integrated Child Health Service at Great Oaks Clinic in Basildon, Essex.

Salary: £96,990 - £107,154 per annum (pro-rata)

Contract: Substantive

Hours: Full-time: 10 programmed activities (DCC:SPA = 8:2)

Location: Great Oaks Clinic, Great Oaks, Basildon, SS14 1EH

Key Responsibilities

As a Community Paediatric Specialist Grade Doctor, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and guidance to the team, working directly with babies, children, and young people, and their families, and liaising with other external health providers and acute hospitals.

You will also participate in the local Child Protection rota, support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member while allowing them to work with their own initiative.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of physical health conditions in babies, children, and young people, including neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Knowledge and training in Child safeguarding
  • At least 4 years postgraduate training including 2 years community paediatrics (or demonstrate equivalent experience and competences)
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training
