Our company, Omega Leeds, is a global leader in manufacturing excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in the Derby area. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Cover suppliers selection, financial control, and customer acceptance.
  • Own factory equipment, including a new manufacturing line, HARD FM site services, and related works.
  • Report directly to the Project Engineering Manager, with complete autonomy to deliver pragmatic, value-engineered projects to cost and time specifications.
  • Lead engineering and production teams during equipment installation and start-up, supplier selection, URS User Requirement Specifications, feasibility and justification analysis, equipment commissioning.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Graduate calibre engineer, or apprentice trained mechanical, chemical, or electrical bias, with experience from complex process manufacturing.
  • Methodical and detailed worker, trained in project engineering.
  • Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds will be considered, ideally in a regulated environment, from volume manufacturing.
  • Experience developing technical engineering solutions in automated environments.
  • Project Engineer from manufacturing, open to industry background, as long as it's complex and time-sensitive manufacturing.
