About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations professionals to ensure the smooth running of our Fulfilment Centres.

  • Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
A Day in the Life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, ensuring it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards.

You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation. A typical day will be varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and wide-scale operational contingency tasks.

About the Team

Our Customer Fulfilment team is the foundation of our business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team that is always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

We are based in Fulfilment Centres, which are at the heart of Amazon's Operations network. Our centres are the 'First Mile' because it's where most Amazon packages start their journey.

Requirements
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people management
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Relevant experience in using data to influence business decisions
  • Written and spoken English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
  • AR Experience Recommended
  • Experience working in another logistics environment
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite
