We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients with mobility issues, including transferring and repositioning.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare staff.
- Participate in patient care planning and implementation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Knowledge of personal care and related procedures.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or social care environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of information technology.
- SVQ11 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
This is a part-time position, with a working pattern of 34.1 hours per week. The role will be based in a Medical Admissions Unit and Frailty unit within a University Hospital.
