About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support patients with mobility issues, including transferring and repositioning.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare staff.
  • Participate in patient care planning and implementation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or social care environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of information technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SVQ11 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time position, with a working pattern of 34.1 hours per week. The role will be based in a Medical Admissions Unit and Frailty unit within a University Hospital.
