We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our operations team at Equinix. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our facility infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of our data centre facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our facility infrastructure.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor building and data centre alarms to identify potential issues.
- Oversee and execute preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, including managing the permit to work system.
- Perform repairs and corrective maintenance on critical equipment to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Prepare and execute planned maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of our infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive site logs and data records, including MOPs (Method of Procedure) and scripts.
- Complete basic work requests and circuit installations efficiently.
- Participate actively in ongoing infrastructure projects to enhance our facilities.
- Educational Background: ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Previous experience in data centre or critical environment settings.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
