Our client is a national-sized business with 9 sites across the UK that boast some impressive automated machinery. With this site being only 8 years old and the machinery being state-of-the-art, this is a fantastic place for an Engineer to thrive in a technical role with various electrical and mechanical systems.

From fault-finding on a 350tn Hydraulic press to taking on project work to improve the reliability of machines, there is never a dull moment at this site. Always looking to train and upskill from within, this Engineering team has become a well-oiled machine, with each Engineer being a technical expert with plenty of knowledge to learn from.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Reactive and Planned Maintenance on all of the automated production machinery
  • Working Electrically with: Bearings, Gearboxes, Shafts, Rollers, Belts, Hydraulics, Pneumatics
  • Working with a shift partner and Team Leader to resolve any issues in the factory
  • Coming up with ideas for Improvement projects
  • Completing Root Cause Analysis on breakdowns that occur, making sure that the original problem is engineered out

About the Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Engineer role will have:

  • A recognised Engineering qualification either Electrical or Mechanical
  • Be a confident multi-skilled Engineer able to fault-find electrically and mechanically
  • Work well within a team environment
  • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a factory environment
