Position Summary:

We are looking for a Configuration Control Specialist to implement a configuration management service in line with Configuration Management Plans (CMP) that supports AWE, ensuring compliance with Licence Condition (LC) 22.

Location: Reading area
Salary: £48,250 - £55,000

Key Responsibilities:

As a Configuration Control Specialist, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a local team to achieve team and personal objectives safely and securely.
  • Be accountable to the Lead Configuration Manager for the effective delivery of a Configuration Management Service throughout its lifecycle.
  • Implement AWE's Configuration Management strategy across the organization.
  • Participate in Change Boards (CB) with a quorate membership.
  • Enhance the quality of Change Request submissions.
  • Assess the implications of change accumulation, particularly regarding safety, risk, budget, deadlines, and regulations, ensuring clear communication.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of LC22 and its components.
  • Uphold high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality, while being an effective team player.
Additional Responsibilities:

Further responsibilities may be assigned through the Chief Engineer Management Arrangements, with appointees listed within the Company Design Authorities and Technical Authorities.

What You Will Need:
  • Experience in Configuration Management or relevant experience in a process change environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • CM2 or ITIL qualifications are advantageous.

All candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
