Our client is a reputable telecommunications firm that specializes in providing essential solutions for mission-critical networks. Known for their cutting-edge technology, they deliver network infrastructure and applications that enhance existing systems. They also lead digital transformation initiatives to facilitate seamless transitions from legacy systems to modern technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the telecommunications sector.
- Explore new markets, clients, partnerships, products, and services while nurturing existing relationships.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, managing their expectations effectively.
- Quantify and evaluate network operator projects.
- Close sales orders with telecom network operators.
Core Duties:
- Identify and assess business sectors for broadband, utilities, and government/defense, including both direct and indirect sales through system integrators.
- Investigate potential market areas for telecom opportunities.
- Present the company's telecommunications solutions to prospective users.
- Proactively communicate the company's value proposition.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote products and services.
- Build relationships and stay informed about new products and technologies.
- Create sales forecasts and actively work towards achieving them, presenting sales information to senior management.
- Participate in the completion of tender applications received by the business.
- Deliver engaging sales presentations to both prospective and existing customers, both in-person and online.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address and resolve customer inquiries and needs.
Qualifications:
- Achieve a minimum of £1 million in new business within the first year.
- Establish a Business as Usual (BaU) revenue run-rate of £2 million per annum by the second year.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and industry competition.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Showcase strong leadership capabilities.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Possess the technical acumen to understand and propose tailored products and solutions for clients.
- Have solid IT skills and proficiency in essential software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis tools.
- Exhibit self-motivation and initiative.
- Conduct research to stay current with telecom industry standards, trends, and insights.
- Work remotely after initial on-site training, with occasional office visits.
- Acquire fundamental product knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of proven experience in the telecommunications sector.
- Management experience or a relevant degree in marketing, accounting, finance, business management, or business administration.
