Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in the BB5 area. This is a full-time temporary role, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs and provide targeted support to enhance learning.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, promoting a culture of high expectations.
  • Support the class teacher in their absence, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Identify and address learning gaps, ensuring students make progress.
  • Understand and adhere to safeguarding procedures, prioritizing student well-being.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as a HLTA or Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • A Level 2 safeguarding certificate (can be completed following application).
  • A DBS on the update service (can be applied for following application).
  • Professional references from previous employers.
