Position Overview

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will embark on a journey with Bloor Homes, where our commitment to excellence is paramount. Our Engineers are integral to upholding the high standards that define our family-run enterprise.

Role Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a variety of tasks that are both challenging and fulfilling, including:

  • Developing comprehensive civil engineering solutions across various projects.
  • Collaborating with regulatory bodies to create road and sewer designs, addressing all related engineering challenges.
  • Preparing and coordinating private drainage schematics.
  • Managing the Foundation Design Consultant to ensure project alignment.
  • Assembling and delivering complete civil engineering packages.
  • Securing approvals for foundation designs.
  • Resolving engineering and construction-related issues.
  • Assisting in the fulfillment of engineering-related planning conditions.
  • Participating in necessary meetings to facilitate your responsibilities.
Compliance and Safety

It is essential to adhere to and uphold company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety protocols associated with Covid-19.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Highway Design Standards and relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with design software such as PDS and Microdrainage.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for engineering design tasks.
