About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Bloor Homes. As a key member of our site development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Appraisal and Design
    • Assist in the production of site appraisals to identify potential development opportunities.
    • Develop and implement road and sewer designs in collaboration with approving bodies to resolve engineering issues.
  • Design Coordination
    • Prepare and coordinate detailed Section 38 and Section designs.
    • Prepare and coordinate external levels drawings and private drainage drawings.
  • Project Management
    • Brief and manage the Foundation Design Consultant to ensure timely delivery of designs.
    • Assemble and deliver the civil engineering package to stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Obtain Section 38 and Section approvals from relevant authorities.
    • Obtain foundation design approvals and complete Section 38 and Section agreements.
    • Discharge engineering-related and building-related issues.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety aspects related to Covid-19.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Experience working in a house builder or consultancy environment.
    • Production of engineering designs and knowledge of Section 38 and agreements.
    • Extensive knowledge of Highway Design Standards, Sewers for Adoption, Building Regs Part H & BS, PDS design software, Microdrainage design software, and AutoCAD.
