We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Conway Group Healthcare in Edenballymore Care Home, Derry.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team as a Catering Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals, as well as providing a selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day. You will work closely with our Head Cook to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and provide exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals for residents, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Provide a selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day, ensuring residents have access to refreshments at all times.
  • Work closely with the Head Cook to manage kitchen operations, including inventory management and food preparation.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds Equivalent, preferably level 3.
  • Food Hygiene level 2.
