Catering Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Conway Group Healthcare in Edenballymore Care Home, Derry.
Conway Group Healthcare is a leading provider of nursing and residential care in the local communities. Our care homes offer a home-from-home experience for our residents, with a focus on delivering compassionate, heart-centered, and sincere care.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals, as well as the provision of snacks and drinks throughout the day. They will also be responsible for managing kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for residents and staff
- Manage kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
- Provide snacks and drinks throughout the day
- Work collaboratively with the Head Cook and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds Equivalent, preferably level 3
- Food Hygiene level 2
