A leading recruitment agency, Alexander Steele Recruitment, is partnering with an international food manufacturer to find an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager. This role will be based in the UK and will involve leading the development of the company's environmental management policies and systems for UK sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive environmental management strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
- Lead the environmental management audit programme, ensuring that all UK sites are compliant with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Manage the annual environmental review process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Develop and maintain effective waste management and recycling processes, ensuring that the company's environmental impact is minimized.
- Lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) programme, ensuring that all projects are thoroughly assessed and that the company's environmental responsibilities are met.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a dynamic food manufacturing environment, with a strong background in environmental management.
- IEMA Certification or NEBOSH Environmental Certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £63,000, plus a £9,000 car allowance.
- A 10% bonus scheme, with opportunities for additional bonuses based on performance.
- A 5% pension scheme, with a range of other benefits.
- 33 days' holiday per year, with the option to purchase additional leave.
- A Monday-to-Friday working week, with regular working hours.
